NFL Regular Season: Week 10 (SU, v SPR & PROPS picks)

2014-15 NFL REGULAR SEASON: WEEK 10
TEAMS
GAME PICK (SU)
GAME PICK (vSPR)
CLE v CIN
CIN
CLE (+6.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
After beating up on some lowly competition, the Browns enter this TNF with a legitimate chance at seizing the reigns atop the AFC North. However, they will have to do it on the road, dogged a TD and squaring off against another historically beleaguered division rival – the Bengals. Should be a barnburner in Ohio tonight when these two fairly-even weighted opponents do battle though the tip of the cap goes to the Cats who’ve been arguably as dominant this season at home as any team in the NFL.

TEN v BAL
BAL
BAL (-10.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
With the game clock ticking to a close and the Titans far within reach of tying/winning the ball game, TEN rookie QB Mettenberger, in a lame attempt to pump up his game stats, finds the only statistic amplified is his INTs as the Ravens secondary picks off up the young signal-caller to secure the home side victory.

KC v BUF
KC
KC (-2.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
BUFs lack of a clean bill of health dictates the finale here as the Chiefs pull away with a late rushing TD courtesy RB Charles and then avert their eyes from the bench as Bills QB Orton struggles, to no avail, to string together a last minute game-tying drive with slim-to-nil offensive weapons in his arsenal.

MIA v DET
DET
DET (-3.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The mighty hands of Megatron strike again as a last minute improbable pass from DET QB Stafford (overthrown and a foot ahead of its target) is miraculously pulled in by the NFLs best wideout who, in turn, proceeds to shuck & jive his way to the MIA end zone to clinch yet another close-finish Lions win.

DAL v JAX
DAL
DAL (-7.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
NFL fans of London, England rest assured-in spite of the knuckle-chewing finale of DET v ATL a few weeks back, the league still hates you with a passion (as evidenced by its subpar selections for your overseas enjoyment) and this Sunday’s showdown is no exception with the Floridian Cats taking it on the chin early & often from the ‘Boys & failing to display even a shred of the talent inherent of a professional NFL squadron throughout the match.

SF v NO
NO
SF (+5.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
Hands down the best game on the bill this weekend in the NFL. In a squeaker of a finale, NO QB Brees airs out a late game long ball pass that is hauled in by veteran wideout Colston along the sidelines to stop the clock and set up the experienced leg of K Graham to chip shot the win for the home side.

PIT v NYJ
PIT
NYJ (+6.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
Though appearing a juggernaut of late, the J-E-T-S push Steeltown to the brink of a road loss in this tightly-contested matchup. The undoing of the NYJ victory: a late game TD pass from Jets QB Vick to rookie TE Amaro that would have sealed the home side victory is picked off an kneeled down by the PIT secondary to ensure a crucial PIT win.

ATL v TB
ATL
ATL (-2.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
In the ugliest ball game of the weekend (there’s rain in the forecast to top things off), the lowly Dirty Birds upset their even lowlier home team division rival Bucs courtesy a TD connection between ATL QB Ryan & WR Jones halfway through the fourth quarter that neither side’s middling offensive attack is able to challenge/build upon from thereon in.

DEN v OAK
DEN
OAK (+12.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
Despite being doomed from the get-go, the Raiders push their West Coast division rivals hard in this matchup to earn their road victory and, in turn, earn a moral victory of their own: the knowledge that they were defeated by 10-points or less by one of the premier team’s in the NFL (at least it’s something).

STL v ARI
ARI
STL (+7.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
In a bid to complete the trifecta of defeating all three division rivals at least once this season as the vs. spread underdog, STL QB Davis, down two FGMs in the final seconds, puts it all on the line and tosses a 50+-yd Hail Mary pass to the ARI end zone that is spectacularly knocked down by the Cards secondary to seal a barnburner home victory.

NYG v SEA
SEA
NYG (+9.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The Seabirds take a TD lead mid-third quarter in this matchup courtesy the legs of RB Lynch and both squads fail to add/subtract upon those go-ahead points throughout the remainder of this apathetic affair.

CHI v GB
GB
CHI (+8.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
A harrowing TD reception from Bears wideout Marshall brings visiting division rival CHI within seven points of GBay with less than two minutes to play on the clock in this one. Too bad Packers QB Rodgers enters the game immediately thereafter, chucks two first down passes to his ample receiving corp and watches time tick away to nothing for the home side win.

CAR v PHI
PHI
PHI (-6.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
PHI RB McCoy continues his recent string of dominant play with a 100+-yd rushing & two TD stat line in this beatdown of the traveling Panthers battered & beleaguered run defence.
