NFL Regular Season: Week 11 (SU, v SPR & PROPS picks)

2014-15 NFL REGULAR SEASON: WEEK 11
TEAMS
GAME PICK (SU)
GAME PICK (vSPR)
BUF v MIA
MIA
BUF (+5.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
In a must-win game for both sides to remain in the hunt for the AFC East Championship, the strong rush defence of traveling BUF keeps their club’s head above water for much of this ball game. However, the relentless push of the ‘Fins rush attack still manages to set up proficient Placekicker Sturgis close enough for a game-winning 50+-yd FG try here – which he promptly hits to put the Bills all but slim playoff hopes to rest for yet another season.

ATL v CAR
CAR
CAR (+1.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
(In spite of some ugly play from both sides involved) this match comes down to the wire wherein CAR K Gano, as consistent as they come in the NFL, hits a 45+-yd FG to assure a much needed victory for the beleaguered-of-late home team Cats.

MIN v CHI
CHI
MIN (+3.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
In one of the most unassuming matchups of the weekend, the home side Bears barely eek out a win over division rival Minny after the Vikings score a TD in the last minute of game play to come within a single point of tying the score. Luckily for CHItown, an onside kick attempt by the Vikes to recover the ball for a final seconds drive is pounced upon by their secondary to seal the narrow victory.

HOU v CLE
CLE
CLE (-4.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
Many of their recent victories have come against sub-par squads & the Browns continue that custom this weekend with a near-TD victory over another languishing NFL club, the Houston Texans, without its star RB in the lineup and an inexperienced QB at ship helm.

SEA v KC
SEA
SEA (+1.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
In the weekend’s most tightly contested affair, the reigning Super Bowl champions, SEA, dig especially deep for a road win and, thanks to some superb rushing from RB Lynch, find themselves a single point victor in one of the NFL’s most difficult visitor venues.

CIN v NO
NO
NO (-7.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
A deadly-at-home offence makes mincemeat of an otherwise comparable opponent as the Saints juggernaut scoring attack puts a 10-pt final score hurting on the slumping Jungle Cats down in the bayou.

SF v NYG
SF
SF (-4.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The superior squad reigns victorious here as the traveling 49ers enter the fourth quarter with a TD+ lead here and fail to relinquish any points to the home side throughout the remainder of this matchup.

DEN v STL
DEN
DEN (-10.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
Simple summary: traveling DEN puts a 2-TD final tally hurting on hometown STL as the Broncos route the Rams in front of the Edward Jones Dome faithful.

TB v WAS
WAS
TB (+7.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
Experienced QB McCown keeps fledgling TBay in this game for much longer than the betting public had anticipated. However, the near equally as inept home side ‘Skins manage a 7-pt victory in this matchup courtesy a fourth quarter breakout reception-for-TD by elusive wideout DeSean Jackson.

OAK v SD
SD
OAK (+10.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The Black & Silver make a game of this one in spite of innumerable crucial injuries on defence entering this ball game. That said, division rival SD still posts a TD+ final score point differential on the board by fourth quarter’s end here.

DET v ARI
DET
DET (+2.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The Lions accomplish in Arizona this weekend something that had eluded them for much of the past decade leading up to this season – a road victory.

PHI v GB
GB
PHI (+6.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
In the most electric game of the weekend, the hometown Packers narrowly edge the travel-worn Eagles by a FGM following an offensive fireworks show that must be seen to be believed.

NE v IND
IND
IND (-2.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
A dogfight to the bitter end at Lucas Oil Stadium this SNF, Indy emerges victorious in this tightly-contested affair via Luck on their side.

PIT v TEN
PIT
PIT (-7.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The battle for the AFC North crown grows tighter this weekend after Steeltown puts an absolute shellacking on the Titans in what can only be described as the black & bluegrass state following this PIT-led MNF thumping.
