NO (-2.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
In
a barnburner of a finale, the Saints, down an FGM late, manage a final
seconds TD connection between arguably the NFLs most dominant tandem, QB
Brees to TE Graham, for a miraculous New Orleans win and the crown of kings
of the NFC South (for a week at least).

JAX v CIN
CIN
JAX (+11.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
In
the battle of the Cats, the home team emerges victorious albeit by a slimmer
margin than the near 2-TD spread this game opened up at.
TB v CLE
CLE
CLE (-6.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The
Dawg Pound howls aloud in the streets outside Paul Brown Stadium this weekend
after another convincing TD+ victory over a visiting, sub-.500 opponent
(let’s just let CLE fans revel in this streak awhile. It’s the Browns for
God’s sake, this pace won’t last)

ARI v DAL

DAL
DAL (PICK)
“THE LAST PLAY”
Upon
the dust settling in this turnover parade of a ball game, a late push by the
‘Boys offence to keep this match from sliding into OT proves fruitful when
DAL K Bailey hits a nail-biting, improbable 55+ FGM to seal the home side
victory.
PHI v HOU
PHI
PHI (-2.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
In
a back & forth offensive juggernaut of a matchup, the Eagles pull away
late in this ball game thanks to an RB Sproles KR of 100+-yds for the
game-clinching TD.
NYJ v KC
KC
NYJ (+10.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
Down
a single point late in this matchup and driving for the win, Jets QB Vick
stares down newly-acquired WR Harvin entirely too long and is blindside
sacked by the surging Chiefs pass rush which, in turn, forces the pigskin
into the hands of the KC defence for the home side victory.
SD v MIA
SD
SD (+1.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
A
late TD connection between classic Chargers tandem SD QB Rivers & TE
Gates proves the clincher in this matchup as the ‘Fins take it on the chin
before their South Florida fanbase.
WAS v MIN
WAS
WAS (PICK)
“THE LAST PLAY”
Tied
and on the verge of OT, MIN QB Bridgewater forces a tough pass to wideout
Patterson in a gamble to set up the game-winning FGM. Unfortunately for the
Vikes, the ‘Skins secondary jumps the route and return the INT close enough
to the Minny end zone to chip shot a FG that assures consecutive road wins
for otherwise lowly WAS.
STL v SF
SF
SF (-10.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
What
begins a tightly-contested, divisional matchup quickly devolves into a SF
sack parade that, in turn, lends to multiple STL QB Davis pick-6s ate up by
the 49ers secondary. The Bay Area Boys romp here.
DEN v NE
DEN
DEN (-3.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
In
by far the best game of the weekend, DEN QB Manning & Co. take a FGM lead
late and, in a bid to even the score, NE QB Brady sets up the play action
deep pass to WR LaFell. Unfortunately for the Foxborough faithful, the pass
rush of the Broncos proves too powerful for NEs O-Line to contain and the
deep look to wideout LaFell quickly becomes Brady fallen via sack.
OAK v SEA
SEA
OAK (+15.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
Outside
what will appear a resurgence in the ground attack of RB Lynch for the
Seahawks, look for SEA to take a commanding 10-pt lead early on in this
matchup and for neither squad to appear interested in altering that point
differential in any way throughout the remainder of this ball game.
BAL v PIT
PIT
PIT (-1.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
In
this highly-anticipated showdown of AFC North powerhouses, Steeltown exacts
revenge for their loss on the road in Maryland earlier this season courtesy
an incredible, 50+-yd one-handed haul-in grab by PIT WR Antonio Brown near
the sidelines followed by a quick-shot TD connection between QB
Roethlisberger & TE Miller to seal the crucial home side victory.
IND v NYG
IND
IND (-3.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
After
the shellacking they took on the road in PIT a week earlier, Indy is quick to
pass along the pain to the sad sack hometown Giants in this matchup as
gradually throughout four quarters the Colts find themselves separating from
NYG at an increasingly quickening pace.
