NFL Regular Season: Week 16 (SU, v SPR & PROPS picks)

2014-15 NFL REGULAR SEASON: WEEK 16
TEAMS
GAME PICK (SU)
GAME PICK (vSPR)
TEN v JAX
JAX
TEN (+3.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
In the battle of FGMs at EverBank Field this TNF, the Jags emerge triumphant in what is a shameful, avert your eyes victory over a worthy opponent in TEN. A last second boot via JAX K Scobee-dooby-doo proves the clincher here.

PHI v WAS
PHI
WAS (+8.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The Eagles are victorious in a must-win game on the road at division rival WAS. However, the price of the victory is onerous as the ‘Skins play a much tighter game than the point spread suggests leaving Philly gassed for, yet another, must-win road game vs a division rival next weekend.

SD v SF
SF
SF (-1.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The 49ers defence punishes their visiting Golden State brethren throughout the course of this ball game, lending the struggling-of-late SF offence just what they need - innumerable opportunities to seal the deal for the home victory (which eventually they do).

MIN v MIA
MIA
MIA (-7.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The Fish sink the Vikings ship in South Beach this weekend with a convincing TD win over an otherwise much-improved MIN ball club that has witnessed its fortunes upraise since the insertion of rookie QB Bridgewater as a starter in the lineup.

BAL v HOU
BAL
BAL (-6.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The Ravens put to bed the Texans playoff hopes this weekend in the Lone Star state, pounding the home club by a final score differential of 10 points while, inversely, promising themselves a fair shot next weekend at a bid for the highly-contested AFC North crown.

DET v CHI
DET
CHI (+9.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
In yet another bid to frustrate their already beaten & beleaguered fan base, Da Bears management all-but surrenders a home side defeat this weekend at Soldier Field by inserting a much less capable starter in the QB spot in Jimmy Clausen vs a rising divisional opponent in DET. Luckily for CHI-town fans, the Lions are still as inept a road team as ever, lending Da Bears numerous opportunities to keep things close throughout this ball game.

CLE v CAR
CAR
CLE (+3.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
In a must-win situation, the Panthers bare their teeth in the final minutes of this ball game and assemble a 1-pt victory courtesy an FGM by K Gano. CLE QB Johnny Football appears as inept as ever here as ship helm of the Browns. However, in what is yet another MENSA-esque Browns management decision, Manziel is decried CLE’s starter next weekend unwaveringly.

ATL v NO
NO
ATL (+6.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
As ugly as the win-loss records indicate the NFC South truly is this season, the entertainment level of said division will be prime viewing the next two weekends as a battle for the division crown is all but in the air for near any club to seize. The Saints emerge victorious by a hair in this contest courtesy home field advantage alone.

GB v TB
GB
TB (+11.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The Packers put in as minimal effort as possible to squeak by the Bucs here in a bid to remain healthy and headstrong for a coming division crown showdown finale next weekend vs DET at Lambeau Field.

KC v PIT
KC
KC (+3.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The Chiefs pull off a major upset in Steeltown this weekend with a late game victory over PIT via way of RB Charles’ crafty footwork. PIT fans exit Heinz Field with shoulders slumped this Sunday, fully knowing their bid for a playoff spot this season has been all but been dashed.

NE v NYJ
NE
NYJ (+11.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The Pats escape by the skin of their teeth in NY this weekend as the J-E-T-S give their division-leading rivals all they can handle in, what is effectively, NYJ’s Super Bowl this season.

NYG v STL
STL
NYG (+5.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
In the battle of ‘who can make the fewest mistakes’, STL emerges victorious as NYG QB Manning simply cannot keep from passing to the Rams secondary instead of his own receiving corp. A few miraculous Giants WR Beckham Jr. RECs ensure things remain close throughout the tenure of this contest.

BUF v OAK
BUF
BUF (-6.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The Bills pull off a must-win road victory this weekend in the Black Hole but it comes with a cost as the Raiders keep this matchup within striking distance throughout its tenure and put a hurting on some key BUF offensive regulars that will directly impact the Bills chances going into next weekend.

IND v DAL
IND
IND (+3.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The ‘D’ in Big D stands for disappointment this weekend for ‘Boys fans as the traveling Colts, with a first-round bye on the line, storm into Cowboys Stadium this Sunday afternoon and steal an absolute nail-biter from a DAL squad that couldn’t need the win more.

SEA v ARI
SEA
SEA (-8.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
In spite of home field advantage & a better record in the divisional standings, the Seabirds make short work of the QB-hobbled Cards this weekend in the desert with a convincing 10-pt victory over Bruce Arians brute brawlers.

DEN v CIN
DEN
DEN (-4.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The Jungle Cats lick their wounds in anticipation of next weekend’s crucial battle with division rival PIT following a Broncos beatdown this MNF in Cincy. DEN clinches a first-round bye in this contest, shredding ‘Nasty Nati’s pass defence for 4+ toss TDs.
