“THE LAST PLAY”
The
traveling Cards keep it close all the way down to the wire in this divisional
showdown. However, as been their M.O. of late, the Rams pull an upset special
on a highly-touted opponent & win this game in the dying seconds courtesy
a late, straight kick from uprights-splitter Legatron.
PIT v ATL
PIT
PIT (-2.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
With
the game score deadlocked and the 2-minute mark having been reached in the 4th
quarter, PIT RB Bell breaks through a gaping hole in the ATL rush defence and
is dragged down mere yards from the Dirty Bird goal line. A few O-Line
pushes, not to mention an exhilarating but, ultimately, stymied Falcons long
PTR later, ATL sports a TD-defeat on home soil and the bid for the NFC South
crown wages onward.

WAS v NYG
WAS
WAS (+7.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
Another
battle of NFC East opponents works itself out in the final minutes of the
game as the Giants, with under a minute to play and down a FG, find
themselves within the red zone and more than enough timeouts to spare. With a
short TD pass play ordered up by NYG Head Coach Tom Coughlin, Giants QB
Manning sits on the play for too long, is hit hard from behind and watches
from the bottom of a pile-on as the ‘Skins recover the pigskin for the road
victory.
MIA v NE
NE
MIA (+8.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The
owner of the AFC East crown for the 2014-15 NFL season is determined this
weekend in Foxborough when the Pats knock off the traveling ‘Fins by a TD.
However, the win comes at a cost for NE as MIA gets to Pats QB Brady on
numerous occasions throughout this affair and forces the aging gunslinger to
the sidelines for precautionary measures for much of the 4th
quarter.
OAK v KC
KC
OAK (+10.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The
Black & Silver, as per usual, makes things hard on a division opponent
and keep this game within TD reach throughout much of this matchup. However,
in the end, the Chiefs faithful exit Arrowhead Stadium this weekend a content
bunch having witnessed their home club accrue a much needed win to remain in
the playoff Wild Card hunt.
HOU v IND
IND
IND (-7.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The
Colts are by far the better team involved in this showdown of division rivals
and prove that fact routinely throughout this matchup, thumping the traveling
Texans by a TD+FGM by 4th quarter’s conclusion.
CIN v CLE
CIN
CIN (+1.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
Browns
backers pack away their support attire this Sunday for yet another season
after the travel-worn-of-late Bengals dash CLE fans hopes for a playoff berth
at the mistake by the lake, winning on the road with a late FGM.
JAX v BAL
BAL
BAL (-14.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The
Jags, be it on the road or at home, lose by a 2 TD differential for the ninth
time this season.
GB v BUF
BUF
BUF (+6.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
In
an absolute barnburner of a ball game, the Packers find themselves on the
wrong side of the final score this weekend at Ralph Wilson Stadium as a
superb Bills defence holds GBay’s hallowed hero QB Aaron Rodgers in check
enough throughout this matchup for the workingman offence of BUF to secure a
narrow victory.
TB v CAR
TB
TB (+3.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The
Bucs return the favour from week 1 to the Panthers at Bank of America Stadium
this Sunday and win a tightly-contested division road game that, not only
mystifies a good portion of the betting public, but also ensures the race for
the NFC South crown remains as murky and embarrassing as ever.
NYJ v TEN
NYJ
NYJ (-3.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
Ugly
has a face and its face is this ball game. The J-E-T-S win a squeaker here
courtesy a late, long FGM by K Folk for the 3-0 road victory.
DEN v SD
DEN
DEN (-4.5)
“THE LAST PLAY”
A
hard-fought ball game, this matchup ends in the fashion most
tightly-contested Broncos games have concluded since the insertion of QB
Peyton Manning into the DEN lineup – a late TD win for the bucking Broncs.
MIN v DET
DET
DET (-8.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The
Lions don’t win this division matchup so much as WR Calvin Johnson secures it
for his ball club, accruing over 200 REC yds & 2 TDs for the convincing
home side victory.
SF v SEA
SEA
SF (+10.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The
49ers hopes for a playoff berth this season are dashed this weekend in SEA
where the Seabirds win a hard-nosed contest courtesy some key runs by RB
Lynch, some incessant harassment by the SEA faithful of division rival SF’s
players and an absolutely lights out Seahawks defense – something SEA CB
Sherman attributes, post-game, to himself and only himself.
DAL v PHI
PHI
PHI (-3.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
The
Eagles lay the NFC East race to bed this weekend at Lincoln Financial Field,
putting down the traveling ‘Boys by a TD in spite of the fact that this game
on paper, & per the spread, should have been much closer, if not ending
in DALs’ favour.
NO v CHI
CHI
CHI (+3.0)
“THE LAST PLAY”
Da
Bears, in a bid to continuously frustrate and confuse their fan base this
season (as well as the betting public at large), produce a convincing TD win
over the traveling Saints at Soldier Field this MNF.
